The Testing Center is currently hiring proctors to assist instructors with the monitoring of hourly and final exams.

Job Description

Proctors assist instructors with monitoring of hourly and final exams Monday-Saturday during fall and spring semesters. This position is for UI seniors and graduate students, exceptions may be made for juniors who have completed 90+ hours of coursework.


Proctors must be available to work on an as-needed basis between 7-10 pm and are required to work a minimum of 6 exams during the semester plus 4 final exams, for a total of 10 exams.


Students should be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructor’s directions, and maintain confidentiality.

Hiring Process

Applications will be accepted throughout the summer with a closing date of September 1, 2017. If you are a junior (90+ credit hours), senior, or graduate student and are interested in applying please submit an online application.

A resume is required at the time of application submission. Send your resume to Students will be invited for interviews between August 28 to September 7. A mandatory orientation is required of all proctors and will be held from 6-7 pm on Friday, September 15 at the Siebel Center (201 N. Goodwin Avenue) room 1404.
