The Office of the Dean of Students (ODOS) is comprised of a diverse range of units that provide specialized advocacy for the students of the University of Illinois. ODOS is a vibrant staff whom through a culture of care empower students to navigate the university while developing essential life skills such as resiliency, critical thinking, leadership, life-long learning, effective inter-personal communication, and problem solving.
Over thirty professional staff members of ODOS provide programs and services in the units of Student Assistance Center, Emergency Dean, Tolerance and Reporting Bias-Motivated Incidents, Campus and Community Student Services, Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, New Student Programs, Student Affairs Assessment, Student Legal Services, Tenant Union, Testing Center, Veterans Student Support Services, and Office for Student Conflict Resolution.
