Transfer Orientation: Experience Illinois
Orientation at Illinois is a process with required, recommended and optional components. New Students who participate in the required and recommended sessions will receive critical information about campus resources and services, will have a chance to meet and interact with fellow students, and will have their questions answered in a safe and welcoming environment. The required segments of Orientation are listed below.
Campus Safety Video
The campus safety video is designed to introduce students to the public safety resources available within their new community. Please visit the home page to view the mandatory video and take a short quiz.First Year Campus Acquaintance Rape Education (FY-CARE) program
The First Year Campus Acquaintance Rape Education program (FY-CARE) presents incoming students with important information related to sexual assault, including: campus and community resources, personal safety strategies, and information on how to support survivors of this violence. Workshops are facilitated by trained peer-facilitators. Students will receive directions for selecting and attending a session via e-mail.
In addition to the mandatory activity mentioned above, New Student Programs offers the Experience Illinois: Transfer Student Orientation Program, which new transfer students are strongly recommended to attend. Students who attend Experience Illinois will meet other transfer students, learn about campus resources, and have all their campus questions answered in a safe and welcoming environment. Experience Illinois is designed to give new transfer students accurate and timely information and reveal the multitude of resources this campus has to offer.
Experience Illinois sessions are offered during the first several weeks of each semester. Come on, what do you have to lose? Experience Illinois!

Experience Illinois: Spring 2012 Transfer Student Orientation
The orientation sessions are repeated multiple times and are 1 hour 15 minutes in length. Choose the time that works best for you to experience Illinois! Locations to be determined.
